The structure of the plate heat exchanger

The structure of the plate heat exchanger is relatively simple.It is mainly composed of plate,gasket,fixed cover,movable cover,guide bar,tightening bolt and nut,support column,connector plate and other parts.Its simple structure and high applicability are unmatched by any heat exchanger.

    1.Plate:The pressed metal thin plate with corrugated,sealed groove and corner hole is an important heat transfer element.Corrugations can not only enhance heat transfer,but also increase the strength and rigidity of the thin plate.Thereby,the pressure-bearing capacity of the plate heat exchanger can be improved,as well as the fluid can be in a turbulent state on the heat exchange surface and the formation of deposits or dirt can be reduced.

    2.Gasket:The gasket seals the plate to prevent the fluid from leaking out.According to the design requirements,part of the corner holes are sealed so that the hot and cold fluids flow in their respective channels.

    3.Fixed cover,movable cover:They are generally made of carbon steel plate or stainless steel plate.The thickness is determined according to the pressure-bearing capacity to ensure uniform sealing of the heat exchange plates.Fixed cover is fixed at the front end,and the movable cover is paired with the fixed cover.The movable cover can be slid on the guide bar to facilitate installation, disassembly and maintenance.

    4.Guide bar:It is fixed on the cover and the support column for supporting and positioning the plate.

    5. Connector plate: It is a plate that divides a plate heat exchanger into two or more heat exchange sections.It is used for heat exchange of more than three fluids.The plate bundle on the same frame can be divided into two or several sections,and each section is used for heat exchange of two fluids.When only two fluids,no connector plate is needed.

    6.Tightening bolt and nut:They are evenly arranged around the covers and used to clamp the plates between the fixed cover and the movable cover.

    7.Support column:It is used to support the weight of the plate heat exchanger,so that the entire heat exchanger is integrated.

    8.End plate:A plate used to prevent fluid from contacting the fixed cover and the movable cover in the plate heat exchanger.

    9.Connecting pipe and flange (or only opening): Generally, 2 or 4 interfaces are opened on the corners of the fixed cover (sometimes on the movable cover or the connector plate ),and they are connected to the corresponding corners on the plate.The holes are connected for the flow of heat exchange fluid.
