Maltose syrup evaporation and concentration -propellent plate evaporators

Maltose syrup is made from high-quality starch through liquefaction, saccharification, decolorization and filtration, and refined concentration. Maltose is the main component of the product. The production process of high maltose syrup is completed by using "double enzyme jet liquefaction, saccharification, ion exchange, evaporation and concentration" and other processes.

Concentration through evaporating equipment is a concentration method in syrup factories and food factories.We use evaporation equipment to heat the material, so that the volatile part of the water and other media reach the boiling point temperature, and continuously change from liquid to gas.The secondary steam generated during vaporization is continuously removed, so that the concentration of the material is increased till to the required concentration.

The process of making high-concentration maltose syrup can be divided into multiple process steps, liquefaction, saccharification, decolorization and filtration, refining and concentration. After adding the saccharification enzyme preparation to the raw material, 85~93% saccharification liquid can be obtained after 24~48 hours of saccharification. The metal ions and soluble nitrogen-containing impurities in the filtrate are removed, the purity and thermal stability of the syrup are improved, and colorless and transparent maltose syrup is obtained.The low-concentration maltose syrup obtained at this time can already be used in a part of the production, and an important step of evaporation and concentration is still needed to obtain high-concentration maltose syrup.

There are many different types of Maltose concentrated evaporator. 

Single-pass type. (The boiling solution passes through the heating surface at one time, does not circulate, and discharges the concentrated liquid, such as rising film type, falling film type, stirring film type and centrifugal film type, etc.)

Direct contact type. (The heating medium is in direct contact with the solution for heat transfer, such as a submerged combustion evaporator. During the operation of the evaporation device, a large amount of heating steam is consumed. In order to save heating steam, it is available to use a multi-effect evaporation device and a vapor recompression evaporator.)

Propellent manufactures maltose syrup plate evaporators. The material passes between the plates and is heated and evaporated by steam. The vapor-liquid mixture is discharged from the outlet, and then enters the separator, where the vapor and liquid are separated to obtain concentrated material and secondary vapor. In multi-stage evaporation, the concentrated material and secondary steam will enter the next-stage evaporator and continue to evaporate.
