In the sugar manufacturing process, the wide gap plate heat exchanger is generally used for heating of clear juice, heating of thin juice leakage, heating of molasses before entering the tank, cooling of molasses, heating of solid solutes, forced circulation evaporation heating, mixed juice/saccharified liquid /Fermentation broth heat exchange, etc. The effect is very good.
In the clear juice heating process, the heat transfer performance of the clear juice in the wide gap plate heat exchanger is more than twice as high as that of the tube heat exchanger. Therefore, the heat transfer area can be reduced by half or more. This clear juice heating process uses the first-effect juice vapor. Heating with juice steam can make the temperature of clear juice close to the temperature of juice steam, which is only 3~5℃ lower. Basically it can meet the evaporation requirements. The use of juice steam heating can also prevent the coking of sugar juice due to excessively high steam temperature, and effectively save energy.
In the mixed juice heating process, the heat source of the wide gap plate heat exchanger is generally waste steam. After a certain period of use, if the heat exchange effect does not meet the design requirements, it needs to be opened for cleaning. There will be sediment and sugarcane chaff inside the heat exchanger, and there will be a thin layer of fouling on the surface of the plate. But it is much less than the tubular heating furnace, just use clean water to rinse and brush to remove. If a self-cleaning heat exchange device is used, part of the sediment can be washed away.
Through the wide gap plate heat exchanger, the evaporation, condensation, crystallization, cooling, and heating processes in the sugar making process can realize the full recovery and utilization of energy and save more energy. It has a better heat exchange effect for media with mixed juice, suspended solids, and high viscosity, and reduce the production cost of the enterprise.
